Step by Step Crochet Bala Ganesha Pattern

✨ Head

Start with a magic ring.

Row 1: 6 sc in magic ring. (6)

Row 2: inc in each st around. (12)

Row 3: (sc, inc) x6. (18)

Row 4: (sc, inc, sc) x6. (24)

Row 5: (3 sc, inc) x6. (30)

Rows 6–13: sc in each st around. (30)

Row 14: (3 sc, inv dec) x6. (24)

Row 15: (sc, inv dec, sc) x6. (18) – Stuff head firmly with fiberfill.

Row 16: (sc, inv dec) x6. (12)

Fasten off leaving long tail for sewing.

✨ Trunk

Start with a magic ring.

Row 1: 6 sc in ring. (6)

Row 2–4: sc in each st around. (6)

Row 5: (sc, inc) x3. (9)

Rows 6–8: sc around. (9)

Row 9: (2 sc, inc) x3. (12)

Rows 10–14: sc around. (12)

Fasten off leaving tail for sewing. Bend trunk slightly to left.

✨ Right Ear

Ch 3.

Row 1: sc in 2nd ch, 2 sc in last ch. (3)

Row 2: ch1, turn, sc in each st. (3)

Row 3: ch1, turn, 2 sc, inc in last st. (4)

Row 4: sc across. (4)

Row 5: sc 3, inc. (5)

Row 6: sc 4, inc. Work sc around border, add 1 dec at foundation chain.

Fasten off leaving long tail for sewing.

✨ Left Ear

Ch 3.

Row 1: inc in 2nd ch, sc in next. (3)

Row 2: sc across. (3)

Row 3: inc, 2 sc. (4)

Row 4: sc across. (4)

Row 5: inc, 3 sc. (5)

Row 6: sc 4, inc. Work sc border, finish with 1 dec at foundation chain.

Fasten off leaving long tail for sewing.

✨ Crown

Start with a magic ring.

Row 1: 6 sc. (6)

Row 2: inc in each st. (12)

Row 3: sc in each st. (12)

Row 4: (sc, inc) x6. (18)

Row 5: (2 sc, inc) x6. (24)

Row 6: sc around. (24)

Rows 7–8: hdc in each st. (24)

Fasten off. Decorate with metallic thread slip stitches around edge.

✨ Crown Circle

Start with magic ring, ch 3.

Row 1: 13 dc + ch 3 = 14 dc total.

Row 2: 2 dc in each st. (28)

Row 3: *2 sc, ch 4, sl st in same st* repeat around (14 points).

Fasten off. Add metallic slip stitch border.

Assembly

Attach the trunk at the center of the head, stitch the ears on either side, and place the crown & crown circle on top. Secure all parts with sewing needle.
