Crochet Lord Shiva Damarukam Tutorial – Step by Step with Written Pattern

Row 1: MR, 8 sc (8)

Row 2: inc in all stitches (16)

Row 3: (1 sc, inc) × 8 (24)

Row 4: (1 sc, inc, 1 sc) × 8 (32)

Row 5: (3 sc, inc) × 8 (40)

Row 6: (2 sc, inc, 2 sc) × 8 (48)

Row 7: sc in all stitches (48)

Change Color – Brown

Row 8: (Back Loops Only) (5 sc, dec, 5 sc) × 4 (44)

Row 9: sc in all stitches (44)

Row 10: (9 sc, dec) × 4 (40)

Row 11: sc in all stitches (40)

Row 12: (4 sc, dec, 4 sc) × 4 (36)

Row 13: sc in all stitches (36)

Row 14: (7 sc, dec) × 4 (32)

Row 15: sc in all stitches (32)

Row 16: (3 sc, dec, 3 sc) × 4 (28)

Row 17: sc in all stitches (28)

Row 18: (5 sc, dec) × 4 (24)

Row 19: sc in all stitches (24)

Row 20: (2 sc, dec, 2 sc) × 4 (20)

Row 21: sc in all stitches (20)

Optional: Stop here for wider center.

Row 22: (3 sc, dec) × 4 (16)

Row 23: sc in all stitches (16)

Slip stitch, ch 1, fasten off leaving a long tail.

Stuffing & Detailing

Stuff firmly with fiberfill. Add zigzag detailing using contrasting yarn by stitching between row 8 and row 23 as shown in the video.

Repeat Second Half

Make another identical dome following the same pattern and stuff it firmly.

Joining Both Parts

Align both domes and stitch together using front loops only. Add extra stuffing at the center before closing completely.

Hanging Chain & Tassels

  • Keychain: Chain 20
  • Car Hanging: Chain 100
  • Tassels: Chain 40–45, add beads and secure

Front Loop Decorative Section (From Round 11)

Row 1

Attach yarn to front loops of Round 11. SC in each stitch except last (23 SC). SL ST, CH 5, SC in next 4 chains. SL ST in same stitch.

Row 2

CH 1 (not counted). HDC INC in each of 23 stitches. Work 3 HDC across chain, HDC inc*2, 3 HDC, SL ST.

Row 3 (Border)

SC evenly around entire edge. Fasten off neatly.


Finishing & Detailing

  • Add 3 horizontal lines using white yarn
  • Create tilak using red yarn knot technique
  • Pull all knots into stuffing for clean finish
  • Flatten base by pulling yarn through center and securing
