Crochet Heart Beat – Valentine’s Day Special Gift
This crochet Heart Beat project is a beautiful handmade Valentine’s Day decor made using a pipe-style outer heart and a soft 3D crochet heart at the center. This project symbolizes love and heartbeat, making it perfect for gifting, car hanging, or home décor.
Materials Required
- 4-ply yarn – Dark Pink (outer heart)
- 4-ply yarn – Light Pink (3D heart)
- 3 mm crochet hook
- 18 gauge aluminum or jewelry wire
- Tapestry needle
- Fiberfill stuffing
- Nose plier (for wire shaping)
- Scissors

Crochet Heart Beat – Written Pattern
Outer Heart (Pipe Structure)
Foundation
Make a slip knot. Chain 5. Insert the hook into the first chain, pull both loops together, yarn over, and pull through to form a center ring.
Row 1
Work 6 single crochet stitches into the center ring. (6 sts)
Row 2
Make 1 single crochet on top of each stitch around. Continue working in continuous rounds without joining.
Repeat the same step by making one single crochet on top of each stitch for all rows. Maintain even tension to achieve a neat pipe-like structure.
Continue until the tube reaches the required length. In this project, approximately 50+ rows were worked.
Shaping the Outer Heart
Chain 1 and fasten off, leaving a long tail. Insert an 18-gauge wire inside the tube. Fold the tube in half and twist the top part slightly to secure the shape.
Using a tapestry needle, stitch the first and last rows together securely. Repeat stitching back and forth for strength. Tie a knot and hide the yarn tail.
Shape the heart by bending the wire gently. Trim excess wire at the bottom and twist the remaining wire to form a hook.
Attaching the 3D Heart

Using the long tail from the 3D heart, attach it to the hook at the center of the outer heart. Secure with knots and hide the excess yarn inside the heart.
Making the Hanging Loop
Insert the hook into one of the top stitches. Pull out the yarn and make a long chain. Slip stitch into a nearby stitch to form a hanging loop. Chain 1 and fasten off.
Hide all remaining yarn ends neatly inside the project.
