Decorative Detailing (Optional)
Using the front loops left in Row 3, add decorative petals using gold embroidery thread and a 1.25 mm hook.
Each petal is created using:
- 3 single crochet stitches in one front loop

- Slip stitch for separation
Repeat until all petals are completed. Join neatly using invisible join.
Final Notes
You will need to make a total of 4 rooks: two in one color and two in another color to complete the chess set.
For better stability while playing, you can add a small weight at the bottom or glue chess coins to the base.
