Crochet Amigurumi Coffee cup

  A small and cute project for gifting and decorative purpose. A must have for coffee lovers

Materials needed:

1) cotton 4ply yarn- 2 colours (one for base, one for cappuccino)

2) white/half white acrylic colour for heart on top

3)yarn needle- 3mm and 1.5mm

4) polyfill

5) safety eyes/ decoration kundands for eyes (optional)

6) black thread for mouth (optional)

7) fabric glue

8) Tapestry needle

You can prefer any of your favourite yarn and it's suitable hooks

Shortcuts used in the video

MR- magic ring

SS- slip stitch

ch- chain

Sc- single crochet

BLO- work in back loops only

Inc- two stitches in the same stitch

DC- Double Crochet

TC- Triple Crochet

Fo- fasten off

Pattern

CUP:

Choose any of favourite shades for cup base

Begin with MR

R-1: 10 sc (10)

R-2: Inc*10 (20)

R-3: (1SC, Inc )*10 (30)

R-4: BLO 1 SC EACH (30)

R-5 to 11: 1 SC EACH (30)

R-12: Rev SC (30)

HANDLE:

Crochet I-cord for 10 stitches

i-cord: make a slip knot by leaving a long tail end. now turn the tail end around the hook, yarn over and draw the yarn through both the loops on the hook. Again wrap the tail end around the hook, yarn over and draw through both the loops on the hook. re[eat this process until you reach required length.

COFFEE:

Take brown/biege yarn for coffee part

Begin with MR

R-1: 10 sc (10)

R-2: Inc*10 (20)

R-3: (1SC, Inc )*10 (30)

R-4: 1 SC EACH (30)

CAPPUCCINO HEART:

With the white colour thin acrylic thread and 1.5mm crochet hook

Begin with MR

ch-4, 2 TC, 3 DC, ch-1, 3 DC, 2 TC, CH-4, SS into center.

close the magic ring and leave a long tail to sew it on top of coffee.

Assembling:

1) Add cappuccino heart on the top of coffee using tapestry needle.

2) Add handle to the cup across R-6 and R-10

3) Add detailing like eyes and mouth/ blush the coffee cup

4) Add cappuccino heart on top of coffee.

5) Stuff the coffee cup with poly fill and sew the coffee over the cup. while sewing insert the needle into the backloops of the coffee and into the back rib of the last row on coffee cup.

Fasten off and weave in the ends...
