Crochet Christmas Bell Ornament as Key holder

 This cute little Christmas bells can be used as an ornament to decorate your Christmas trees, and later these can be used as a key cover/ key chains / key holders.

Materials Required

Cotton 4 ply yarn

crochet hook - 3mm

stitch markers

small bead

A pair of scissors


However, you can use any yarn of your choice and its suitable hook size.


Abbreviations Used

CH- chain

SC- Single Crochet

DC- Double Crochet

Inc- increase: two stitches in same stitch

SS- Slip stitch

Sk- Skip the next stitch

Fo- Fasten off


PATTERN


BELL:

Begin with slip knot,

ch-4 and make a SS into first chain to form a ring.

R-1: ch-1, 8 SC (8)

R-2: SC Inc*8 (16)

R-3: (1 SC, Inc) *8 (24)

R-4 to R-14: 1 SC EACH (24)

R-15: (2 SC, Inc )*8 (32)

R-16: 1 SC EACH (32)

R-17: (1SC,Sk 1, (5 DC), Sk 1) *8

FO and weave in the ends






KEY RING:

CH-6, SS into first stitch to form a ring. Now, ch-12 and insert a bead into the chain.

chain-2. skip 2 chains behind the bead which makes the bead be at the center of the chain, SS into the 6th chain from hook. Continue to make slip stitches throughout the chain until you reach the beginning ch-6 ring.

FO and weave in the tail ends.


ASSEMBLING:


Take the Bell and Insert the crochet needle through the center of the bell underneath, Now grab the key ring to the hook and pull it into the bell.

Now attach the key ring to your keys and

there you go.

Pattern:

with colour A

Begin with slip knot and ch-6

make a slip stitch into the first chain to form a ring.

R-1: ch-1, 12 SC's into the center. SS into the first stitch. (12)

R-2 : ch-2, ( consider this ch-2 as a first hdc in that stitch), make hdc into the same stitch. * HDC inc in the next stitch*. Repeat * to * for 11 times. (24)

change to colour B

R-3: *ch-2, 1 dc in the next stitch, now again ch-2 and make 5hdc's into the DC then slip stitch into the next stitch*. This completes one petal. Repeat * to * for 11 more times. This gives you a total of 12 petals by the end of R-3.


ch-1 and FO by leaving a little long tail end. weave in the ends and trim the excess thread. If needed, Decorate the coaster with decorative beads to enhance the look of these coasters or use as a wall hanging

Pattern:

Begin with a Magic Ring MR,

R-1: ch-1, 8 SC , SS (8)

Make ch-1 and then into the magic ring make 8 single crochet stitches, then make a slip stitch into the first stitch. you will have 8 single crochet stitches by the end of first row.


R-2: ch-1, SC Inc *8 , SS (16)

Make ch-1 and then do sc increase in each and every stitch. Make ss into the first stitch. By the end of the second row, you will have 16 single crochet stitches.


R-3: {BLO} ch-1, 1 sc each (16)

Make ch-1, and this row is worked only in the back loops. Do 1 sc in each stitch. you will have 16 single crochet stitches.


R-4 to R-6: 1 sc each (16)

From row 4 instead of making slip stitches we will continue to work in spirals so, do not ss to close row-3, instead continue to make sc's in each and every stitch until you finish r-6. Each row will have 16 single crochet stitches.


R-7: {FLO} SS, (ch-3, 1 dc), DC Inc*16 (32)

This row is worked only in the front loops. Make a ss into the first stitch of 7th row. Now, make ch-3 and into the same stitch make 1 DC. This ch-3 and dc together considered as a DC increase in the first stitch . now make DC inc in each and every stitch until all the stitches are worked. Make a ss into the third chain in the first stitch of row-7. you will have 32 Double crochet stitches ( considering the first ch-3 as a DC).


R-8: ch-1, Rev SC , SS (32)

Begin with ch-1, insert the hook into the previous stitch in row-7, yarn under and drop a loop, Now make a single crochet as usual. Likewise, make reverse single crochet stitch through out the row. Now make a ss into the first stitch in r-8. you will have 32 reversed single crochet stitches.


Decorate the hat with required decorative beads, add a bow or some flowers on top to make it look more feminine. Attach them to your baby tactics to make it a nice clips, or add a key ring to it to use it as a keychain.
